Love St. Paul

As many of you know, Minnesota has become home to the largest Somali population in the US. What an opportunity God is giving us to love these people made in His image! Please join us next Sunday, Feb. 28 after the morning service for a potluck at the Barack and Michelle Obama School/Service Learning Center (just down the street on Holly) where a special guest speaker will help us come to know the Somali immigrant population in MN. Everyone is welcome. Please bring a dish to share (something that won't freeze :-). The Gallery will provide beverages, utensils and plates. This will also be a great opportunity to come to know each other better!

With almost 1000 people in the Skyline Tower apartment just across the street, we’ve always had plenty of opportunities to Share Jesus with our Somali neighbors through literacy and friendship. Asked to help tutor with a new SALT (Somali Adult Literacy Training) site meeting at Concordia University in 2005, I’ve had the opportunity to see God work in some amazing ways as we have gotten to know our 99.9% Muslim neighbors. God has given all of us a chance to connect with one of the least reached people groups on the planet, and find out their story. As coordinator of the site, I invite you to come hear about what God is doing to advance His kingdom in our neighborhood.
