Be the Church

Free Garage Sale Flyer

Our first Be the Church Sunday is almost here! As a reminder, we will not be meeting at Steppingstone on Sunday, June 19th. Instead, we will go out and BE THE CHURCH! In order for the day to go as smooth as possible, please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the happenings of the day. Our event is happening in Webster Park which is located directly behind the Obama School.

Last Sunday as a church we delivered 2200 bags and flyer's to homes in the Steppingstone neighborhood. I've been hearing encouraging stories of how people responded to our bags and to the concept of the Free Garage Sale! When you think about it, we delivered 2200 bags to 2200 households. Most households are more than 1 person so the exposure is significant. We have no idea what to expect but since we serve a Big God, I think it's safe to say we can't expect an event that will go beyond our expectations! We need each and everyone who calls The Gallery home to be present as we show God's love to the people of St. Paul in a real and tangible way.

SCHEDULE:

At 7:00 am we will start setting up tables and unloading the moving truck. At 8:00 am people from the Gallery will begin showing up with their vehicles full of items for the sale.Items will be efficiently unloaded and placed at the tables. Each table/section will be clearly marked. Coffee & Donuts will be provided! The Free Garage Sale is from 10 am - 1 pm. Leftover items will be loaded into our moving truck and taken to a local thrift store.

DROP OFF PROCESS:

I received confirmation this week that the parking lots at the Obama School are scheduled to begin a resurfacing project next week. If that changes we will be sure to let you know. As for now please plan on using Laurel Ave. for drop off. If you turn on to Laurel Ave, from either direction off of Grotto St. you should be able to pull in to a line of cars. Watch for sings and for volunteers directing traffic . Parking will be limited around the park so after you have unloaded your vehicle park it a few blocks away. Here's a map of the area to help clarify our location.

Looking forward to serving along side you as we serve the people of St. Paul.
